For it is a rare region, this country of the French Broad that boasts so much variety of beauty and species and experience. How can a sentence sing it or a chapter describe it or a book give it full life?
- Wilma Dykeman, The French Broad
We are looking forward to our 4th annual show this year!
We have another outstanding group of artists who will interpret the French Broad River through drawing and painting, much of it from direct observation. All of this artistic reflection will be on display and for sale on the last weekend of October 2017, October 27-29. In partnership with Riverlink, we offer these works for purchase to raise money for a fantastic non-profit that has done so much for the river and continues to work to enhance awareness and advocate for the health and vitality of the river corridor. The premiere opening night, Friday, Oct. 27, will be a fabulous gala held at the Zealandia mansion, where we held the event last year, with food and refreshments provided. Tickets for the opening night gala are available on the Riverlink website. Click here to purchase.
The show will be open to the public also on Saturday and Sunday from 11-3 both days.
All ticket sales and a portion of proceeds from sold artwork go to Riverlink.
Please see the 'About' page to read about the participating artists.
